Snow in Corvallis!

Snow here in Corvallis is a fairly rare thing. Last year it snowed once about 2 inches (and melted by the end of the day) I went into work because to me it was no big deal, but everyone was surprised I would risk driving. Monday it snowed 3 inches and everything shut down. No school, no work. A real snow day! Besides all that, it has been very cold and we still have snow left, the roads are slick and we are scheduled to have another storm today. It is so nice to get a dose of real winter! By Utah standards the roads are clear, by Corvallis standards it is unfit to drive, which makes driving fairly fun because everyone is staying at home so I get to have the road all to myself to have fun and slide around all I want.

The kids went out and played in Sunday's mild snow (that melted by the end of the day) and made some cute mini snowmen. You can see how little snow we got ...

Oregonian Thanksgiving

I know this is kinda, (well a lot) late but I just loaded the pictures on my computer and had to share them. Joey and I and the kids went to Salem to have Thanksgiving at Jonna's house (Joey's sister). It was fun we had the kids for four full days. There was lots of tasty food, Joey made a whole bunch of vegetarian food, including my favorite - mashed potatoes. It was joyous!

Here are a few of the pictures we took:

Desserts, Snacks and a cute lil Laykie

I love getting a chance to wear my favorite dress

Just recently several of his sisters and his parents came to visit and took this picture of all of us when we were at the Carousel in Salem.

Thanksgiving in Utah

This last weekend I visited Salt Lake City to visit my family for an early Thanksgiving. It was very a lot of fun I was able to spent time visiting with my parents which I haven't done in a long time.
This was a very monumental Thanksgiving for me. My mom made vegetarian mashed potatoes with soymilk and margarine for everyone, not just for me. It meant so much and I was so happy I took a picture!

I was also very proud of both of my parents who tried the tofu I made, the first time that either of them have had tofu.

It took a couple of tries, but I was very pleased with my success of using the timer on the new camera I got for Joey (and I use all the time...)

My very first blog!

Hello Everyone!
A friend recently asked why I don't have updated photos on Facebook. After thinking about it I realized the reason is because I feel I have outgrown Facebook. However, it would be nice to have a way to share pictures and news easily with my family, so an alternate solution is a blog. Joey's family recently developed one, and many of my friends do the blogging thing so I decided to try it out. I thought I would post a few pictures I have with me to start.

This is a picture taken of my siblings Rachelle, Trafton, Me, and Aprielle when I was in Utah for Adrianna's wedding. It was so busy I never took any other pictures.

All of the kids play soccer:

Layke

Raine

Ocean

Layke's beautiful butterfly wings, she loves dressing up and getting her picture taken

Raine's birthday, we used trick candles that relight It was so much fun to watch him try desperately to put them out. I have more pictures I will post later.

Ocean's Halloween Costume - Pipi Longstocking. She was the only one we got pictures of.

In the way of news Joey completed his apprentice training and is now a journeyman. I am very proud of him, he received a record breaking high score on his final. He is currently working on a school in Silverton. Life for me is about the same as it has been. It always gets busy and hectic this time of year as the Activity Director planning all the holiday events, and decorating, and so forth. I planned a Halloween Party for the residents at work that everyone is still talking about, so I feel like I may be getting closer to finally have the planning-a-party-for-seniors thing down.

Well I will post more pictures soon, and more news as it comes!
